Chemical Zeolite Molecular Sieve Granules adsorption
Molecular sieves (also known as Synthetic Zeolite) with strongly adsorption and normally used in the process of drying gases and liquids. The crystalline composition, make it a perfect solution to absorb the water and other impurities to obtain the pure liquid or gas as compared to other separation systems. Because of its uniform structure, molecular sieve will not give up moisture into the package as readily as silica gel or clay as temperatures rise. Being synthetic rather than naturally occurring, molecular sieve is higher in cost per unit, but due to its extremely large range of adsorptive capabilities, it might often be the best value. The types of molecular sieves desiccants offered includes 3A, 4A, 5A and 13X molecular sieves which are available in the form of beads and pellets.
3A (Pore Diameter of 3 Angstrom): NH3, H20, (not C2H6), good for drying polar liquids.
4A (Pore Diameter of 4 Angstrom): For Static drying in gas stream & liquid, like electronics & electric systems, medicine & diagnostic kit packaging, perishable food items and chemical packaging.
5A (Pore Diameter of 5 Angstrom): It soaks up regular hydrocarbons as well as other chemicals such as alcohols, mercaptans (thiols).
13X ((Pore Diameter of 10 Angstrom): Adsorbs di-n-butylamine. Useful for drying HMPA.
